 GCIOSGF Fashion veggie club newsletter 會訊: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeOgkEoF1yzyBioCORJI4V7swW8B3G1iQ47FQXBtSBONm3-Iw/viewform 吃蔬食救地球勝過種樹 氣候變遷是近年最受重視的議題之一,十九世紀以來,由於工業化的開展,人類製造的二氧化碳量年年攀升,造成地球氣候的劇烈改變。你知道你一年當中,上廁所、煮飯,上網搜尋資料,還有雙十一和黑色星期五的網購和外送,以及其他所有日常行為,共排放多少二氧化碳嗎? 根據行政院環保署的報告,2019 年台灣每人每年平均排放二氧化碳當量約為 10.96 公噸/人[1]。十公噸大約等於一台大卡車的重量,聽起來相當驚悚,不過,你有沒有想過,要種多少棵樹,才能抵銷你排放的二氧化碳業障呢? 計算一棵樹的材積量 將碳排放量換算成樹木材積,並不是一件太難的事情,但需要一些計算步驟。你可能會覺得,一棵樹的材積量有什麼難的?阿不就一根長長圓柱體,底面積乘上樹高就打完收工了。 如果抱著這樣的想法,那就大錯特錯了!因為樹幹不是圓柱體,而是類似圓錐的形狀,並且可以切分成轆轤體、圓柱體、拋物線體和圓錐體四個部分計算,如果用圓柱體計算,會出現很大的誤差! 為了盡可能計算出正確的材積,林業領域有一套特定的計算方式。根據行政院農業委員會辦理國有林林產物處分作業要點,材積式的公式如下: 立木材積=(胸高直徑)2×0.79×樹高×形數 上面的算式中,胸高直徑、樹高為測量值,0.79為固定數,而形數指的是「立木材積形態常數」,下面用更白話的方式說明專有名詞所代表的涵意。 胸高直徑(DBH , diameter at breast height,後簡稱胸徑)是林木測量時,最重要的測量值,它不但與樹幹材積的關係相關,且測量容易、誤差也較少,因此是調查時相當重要的一項參數。顧名思義,胸高直徑指的是人類站立時,胸高位置處,該處樹圍的直徑長,臺灣胸高直徑位置,指的是距離地面 1.3 公尺處,與歐洲各國相同。 樹高,很直觀,就是樹的高度。測量樹高的方式不少,有直接測量、三角測量法等,雖然觀念簡單,但實際上測量作業卻相當不容易,一棵樹動輒十幾公尺,知名的【撞到月亮的樹】台灣杉(Taiwania cryptomerioides...
