GCIOSGF Fashion Veggie Club Newsletter 會訊: Edit : OF 哈佛2位專家表示, 綠葉蔬菜(Green leafy vegetables)是護腦的好食物之一, 綠葉蔬菜中含有對大腦有益的營養素,如歐美較流行的羽衣甘藍(Kale)外, 常見的小白菜(Bok choy)。 外媒cnbc報導,哈佛營養學家奈杜(Uma Naidoo)與神經學家潔諾娃(Lisa Genova)同時認同,綠葉蔬菜是維持大腦健康的關鍵、護腦食物中的「No.1」,可以預防阿茲海默症等疾病。生活中常見的綠葉蔬菜有菠菜(Spinach)、芥菜(Mustard greens)、小白菜等。 另外,兩位專家們還說明了多吃綠葉蔬菜的理由與好處。 富含維生素B 奈杜在過去受訪時曾說明,綠葉蔬菜是維生素B9(或稱葉酸)的絕佳來源,它對大腦、神經、情緒的健康很有幫助。另外,也有美國大學的研究指出,憂鬱症和癡呆症等疾病通常和缺乏維生素B有關。 富含對大腦有益的營養素 潔諾娃表示,綠葉蔬菜富含「健腦(brain-boosting)營養素」,例如葉酸、葉黃素與β-胡蘿蔔素。葉酸的好處如上述;葉黃素被認為與改善老年人的大腦功能有關;β-胡蘿蔔素則是可加強語言和認知記憶(cognitive memory)。 富含膳食纖維 奈杜指出,綠葉蔬菜富含膳食纖維,2021年一項研究發現,膳食纖維與降低憂鬱症發生率有關,她建議大家可透過飲食來攝取。 Two experts from Harvard said that green leafy vegetables are one of the best foods to protect the brain. Ingredients Smoothie Base: 2 cups frozen mango chunks 1 medium frozen banana 1 teaspoon honey 1/3 cup milk or orange juice (or a blend of both) Toppings: Banana slices Fresh berries Nuts Shredded coconut Instructions Blend it Up: Add all the base ingredients (mango, banana, honey, and liquid) into a high-powered blender or food processor.
